Details: Handcrafted using time-honored techniques, this beautiful necklace is strung with glossy carved shell beads in shades of chocolate and caramel, natural coco shell beads and 18-karat rose gold shark fin enamel beads. The beads are cut and tapered in the style of a traditional puka shell necklace and are a chic layering or everyday piece.
Puka shell necklaces were traditionally given to Hawaiian sailors as a token to assure a safe return to port. They evolved from that into a Hawaiian symbol of good luck and good will.
